Pilu of the Woods is my debut middle-grade graphic novel published on April 16, 2019 from Oni Press. You can borrow it from your library, order it off of Amazon, look for it at your local bookstores, or add it to your Goodreads shelf!
After getting into another fight with her old sister, Willow runs off into the woods. As she wanders her favorite trail, she encounters a lost forest spirit named Pilu. Willow is determined to help Pilu find her way home, and together, they set off deeper into the forest.
Little Ghost is a free-verse poem that I self-published in 2015. It’s a story about a lost ghost looking for her home after being forgotten.
This is a web comic that I started in 2011, but placed on hiatus after 62 pages. It’s a project that’s very close to my heart, so I’m looking forward to picking it back up very soon!
Curio is the story of nearly 10 year old Vivi elevator. She wanders into a mysterious house known as the Palace of Curio. There, she encounters disappearing maps, magical creatures, and a dark secret that threatens the Palace and its inhabitants.
Coral and the King is a short story originally published in 2011 as part of an anthology. I later revised and self-published it again in 2012. The images shown are sample pages from a 36 page story.
As oceans swallow cities and stars begin to fall, Coral struggles to get out of bed. But when she encounters a strange creature named the Forest King, she follows them to a banquet at the end of the world.
The Dreamreader is a short comic drawn in 2012 based on a scene from Haruki Murakami’s surrealism novel Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World.
As part of an experiment to see how different artists interpret prose into sequential art, I was given a short excerpt with no context.
The narrator is given the task of Dreamreader at the Town’s library where he learns to read dreams from the skulls of unicorns.
